The Spence Dubai 92 Cycling Challenge, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, returns after a record-breaking season in the previous edition in 2022, to attract young cycling enthusiasts in a race for youngsters, allowing them the opportunity to participate in the activities of the upcoming event in February 2023.

It is scheduled that the junior races will be held at the Dubai International Stadium on February 18, one day before the start of the main event of the “Spence Dubai 92 Bicycle Challenge”, the qualifying race for the final of the “Gran Fondo” World Championship, which will be held on February 19.

The race aims to encourage youngsters between the ages of two and 12 years to practice cycling, and develop their skills from an early age, within a stimulating environment and unspecified races at a certain time, as these rides are entertainment activities designed for children only.

The organizers of the event are keen to encourage young riders to explore their talents, by wearing unique racing costumes, and decorating the bikes before entering the “classic” round competitions, in order to win medals and certificates for the successful completion of the race.

And a press release stated: “The junior races include four diverse, non-competitive categories for children of different ages and abilities. The first is the Tiny Tots tour, which is an easy tour suitable for children from two to three years, with a distance of one kilometer, and young children of pre-entry age can enter The school participates in the Kids’ Tour suitable for children from four to five years, which is two kilometers, while children between the ages of six and 11 years can participate in the Junior Short Ride with a distance of 4.5 kilometers, and children between the ages of nine to 12 years can participate in the Junior Long Race Ride nine kilometers.

The Organizing Committee urges parents to participate alongside their young children in the two-kilometer and one-kilometer races to guide them.
