On January 4, after the closed training camp in Hainan, the national table tennis general went to Doha, Qatar to participate in the Asian qualifiers for the Durban World Table Tennis Championships.

This is the first event that the national table tennis team will participate in in 2023. The 12 national table tennis players will participate in the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

　　After the end of the 2022 Table Tennis Super League, the national table tennis general will directly transfer from Shandong Weihai to Hainan for winter training.

This time, more than 60 national table tennis players were divided into two. 31 players including Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqin, Sun Yingsha, Chen Meng, and Wang Manyu were in Lingshui for winter training, and the other part of the players were in winter training at Hainan Sports Vocational and Technical College.

Players such as Lin Shidong and Kuaiman who participated in the Tunisian Table Tennis World Youth Championship also went to Lingshui for winter training.

　　The World Table Tennis Championships in Durban is scheduled to be held from May 20th to May 28th, and all regions will start the trials for the number of participants.

After the winter training, the national table tennis soldiers will go to Doha, Qatar on the 4th to participate in the Asian qualifiers of the World Table Tennis Championships.

This event is particularly critical, directly affecting the qualifications for the World Table Tennis Championships, and the performance of the World Table Tennis Championships will also affect the qualifications for the Paris Olympics.

There are 5 events in this competition. The singles competition will be divided into 16 groups. The first place in each group will be qualified for singles, and the second place will continue to compete for the remaining places.

The avoidance system of the same association will be adopted, and the national table tennis team will compete for qualifications throughout the foreign war.

　　The national table tennis entry list has been released. The women's team "Five Golden Flowers" Sun Yingsha, Chen Meng, Wang Manyu, Wang Yidi and Chen Xing are also on the list. These five are also currently the strongest players in the national table tennis women's team.

In contrast, there are some subtle changes in the men's team's entry list. The biggest highlight is that the young player Xiang Peng replaced the world champion Lin Gaoyuan in the men's singles. The latter only entered the mixed doubles list. From this, the men's team The replacement of old and new will accelerate in 2023.
