Elvira Öberg, who today did her 100th World Cup competition, had a dream start in the sprint in Pokljuka.
The 23-year-old began by shooting fully in the prone position.
With that, she came out as second after the first shoot, just over eight seconds behind Paulina Fialkova from Slovakia.
Even in the standing shooting, Öberg would deliver.
The Swede shot at full blast then as well, which was enough for her to take the lead and subsequently claim the victory.

This was Öberg's sixth World Cup victory in his career.
In second place came Julia Simon, who leads the overall World Cup.
Röiseland made a comeback
Marte Olsbu Röiseland made a comeback after suffering from shingles, but the Norwegian showed class right away when she shot full in her first shoot in the season opener.
