A Martinican footballer and his partner were recently arrested at Roissy airport with more than 100 kilos of cocaine hidden in suitcases, AFP learned Thursday from the Bobigny prosecutor's office.

An amateur football player was arrested at Roissy airport in possession of drugs.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the man, arrested with his partner, had more than 100 kilograms of cocaine in his suitcases.

Coming from Fort-de-France, the two travelers were checked by customs officers on their arrival at Paris airport, said the source familiar with the matter.

In their luggage were discovered respectively 50.7 and 53 kilos of cocaine.
