Sharjah Self-Defense Sports won 863 medals in Jiu-Jitsu in 2022

During the year 2022, the Sharjah Club for Self-Defense Sports achieved an unprecedented number of colored medals during one season, leading the country's clubs in the number of medals, after the club's male and female players in Jiu-Jitsu won 863 colored medals, including 316 gold, 302 silver and 245 bronze.

The club's players in Jiu-Jitsu also achieved 20 shields, including 5 shields for the first place, 6 shields for the second place, and 9 shields for the third place, at the end of the 2022 competitions organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

The club’s board of directors dedicated this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in appreciation of their support and care that paved the way for all An achievement for the club's children.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Club for Self-Defense Sports, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, expressed his gratitude for the support of the Sharjah Sports Council headed by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, which reflected the qualitative shift in self-defense sports in the club and contributed effectively to the gains achieved.

He emphasized that this large and distinguished number of colored medals in jiu-jitsu championships reflects the valuable efforts of the executive management, the sports training department and the technical director of jiu-jitsu, Ibrahim Al Hosani, and their active role in guiding the players in all directions to achieve the best achievements, the team coaches, the game secretary, Taha Abdel Sattar, and the distinguished role of parents.
