He stepped on the first ring in the first tournament in 2002, and although he is small for a sumo wrestler with a height of 1.68 cm, he has a quick attack that slips into the opponent's bosom, and often joins the battle for victory in the makuuchi. rice field.



He was promoted to sekiwake for the first time in the autumn tournament in 2008, but after that, he temporarily fell to the makushita due to injuries, etc., and returned to the makuuchi in the spring tournament in 2019 at the age of 35, and was active in the makuuchi for a long time.



He retired from the active life of about 18 years after the spring tournament of Reiwa 2nd, and was teaching juniors at the Tokitsukaze stable, but according to the Sumo Association, he retired from the association on the 4th. That's it.
