Anton Forsberg played great in Ottawa's goal and stopped all 22 shots that Columbus had on goal.

It was the first time this season that the 30-year-old from Härnösand kept a clean sheet and the second time during his NHL career.

Ottawa eventually won convincingly 4–0 against Columbus, who could record their eighth consecutive loss.

Ottawa's 20-year-old German Tim Stützle, who scored five goals in the last six games, went home after today's game with a goal and an assist.

He was critical of his effort in the first period.

- I was terrible at first, that's one thing for sure.

We had some bad counterattacks, especially our chain, but we kept trying to play better in the second and third periods and I think everyone did a great job, Tim Stützle said.
