The Tour de Ski is running for the 17th time.

Some changes have been made since its inception.

Among other things, the climb up the slalom slope Alpe Cermis in Val di Fiemme, which is now a mass start, instead of a chase start.

- Whoever crosses the finish line there first will be the winner of the tour, I thought it was more interesting then, says Halfvarsson.

Previously, a long race of 35 kilometers was run between Toblach and Cortina, an estimated race where there was a chance to close the lead in the overall.

- It was a very nice stage in the middle of the tour that brought everything together, says Halfvarsson, who rode that stretch himself when it started.

Then you could call the ultimate skier

Frida Karlsson has a vision of how a perfect tour should be.

- If you could call the ultimate skier, regardless of sprint, distance and long-distance running.

It would be a little cooler, she says.
