The American's own team Hoonigan confirms his passing in a statement.

It is with great sadness that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident yesterday.
Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon.
And above all, he was a husband and father.
He will be incredibly missed.
"
Ken Block began his career in 2005. He has competed in several championships but also made a name for himself as an extreme motor sportsman.
He is survived by his wife Lucy and three children.
