"On fire" is not enough to describe the state Donovan Mitchell was in Monday night at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

The back of the Cavs signed an immense performance against Chicago with 71 points scored, becoming the 6th player in NBA history to reach such a mark.

This is the highest total since Kobe Bryant and his famous 81 points against Toronto in 2006.

Better than that, if we add his 11 assists, Mitchell signed the second most decisive stat sheet of all time, behind Wilt Chamberlain.

Uppercase.

Donovan Mitchell was responsible for 99 points for the Cavs on the night, with 71 points and 11 assists.

This is the 2nd greatest performance of all time, ahead of Wilt Chamberlain (104 points).

The 2nd greatest performance of ALL TIME.

Not to spoil anything, this performance is not part of a one-sided match but a very close encounter, during which the Bulls led by 21 points at the break.

But Mitchell snatched the extension a few seconds before the bell, before carrying his team to victory (145-134).

With this success, Cleveland keeps 4th place in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago is 11th.
