Moroccan Yassin Bono, the Seville goalkeeper, is preparing to leave the Andalusian club and move to the German or English league, with the winter transfer market opening in January 2023.

Bono appeared with the Moroccan national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and presented a great level, especially against Spain and Portugal in the eighth and quarter-final rounds, to be one of the most prominent stars of the "Atlas Lions", who wrote a new history by coming fourth in the World Cup.

Bono, 31, who won the Zamora Award (Best Goalkeeper in the Spanish League) for the 2021-2022 season, has become the best goalkeeper of Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, a target for major clubs in the European continent.

And the “footmercato” website stated that Bayern Munich and Manchester United wanted to obtain Bono’s services.

The French website confirms that negotiations between Bono's surroundings and the "Bavarian" club have actually begun, especially as Bayern is looking for a replacement for Manuel Neuer, whose season ended due to a severe left leg injury.

Bayern Munich officials hope to find a goalkeeper to compensate for Noir's absence, and they found what they needed in Moroccan Bono, who has a contract with Seville that extends until June 30, 2025.

But Bayern is not the only club that covets to benefit from the brilliance of Bono, whose market value rose after the World Cup in Qatar to 15 million euros, according to the "transfermarkt" website, as Manchester United entered this race as well.

Manchester United probed the player's pulse and his surroundings in recent days, to gauge the Moroccan's desire to come to Old Trafford, according to Foot Mercato.

The "Red Devils" administration is working to extend the contract of Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea, but it places the issue of contracting with Bono as a priority, knowing that the Moroccan will not be satisfied with playing the role of an alternative, especially after his great brilliance in the last edition of the World Cup.

The French newspaper concluded its report by saying: "The battle has begun between Bayern Munich and Manchester United for Bono."

Bono participated in 6 matches in the 2022 World Cup, and he only missed the Morocco-Belgium match, in the second round of the group stage, due to his injury moments before the start of that confrontation.

Bono conceded 5 goals in the World Cup, the first of which was against Morocco and Canada with friendly fire through his colleague Nayef Akrad, then conceded twice against France in the semi-finals, and the same from Croatia in the ranking match (third and fourth).

Bono kept his net clean against Croatia in the first round, then against Spain and Portugal in the knockout rounds, noting that he starred strongly in the penalty shootout against the “Matador” and blocked two in the round of 16.
