The Egyptian Al-Ahly goalkeeper undergoes knee surgery

Al-Ahly club, competing in the Egyptian Premier League, said today, Saturday, that its third goalkeeper, Mostafa Schubert, will be out of action for about a month due to a knee injury.

Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football at Al-Ahly, told the club's website, "Medical examinations confirmed that Mustafa Schubert, the team's goalkeeper, had a cut in the knee cartilage. The player underwent x-rays and medical examinations on his knee after his injury in training last Thursday, and it was confirmed."

The football director indicated that the young team goalkeeper will undergo surgery during the next few days and will miss group training for three to four weeks.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Pyramids the day after tomorrow, Monday, at Cairo Stadium, as part of the Premier League competitions.
