Kohei Uchimura, who retired this year after winning two consecutive Olympic gymnastics and individual all-around titles, held an event at a gymnasium in Kitakyushu City to convey the artistry of gymnastics.

Mr. Uchimura has achieved many great achievements, including winning gold medals for two consecutive games from the London Olympics in the gymnastics men's individual all-around, and retired from active duty in March this year.



The event, which was held at a gymnasium in Kitakyushu City, was planned by Uchimura to spread the artistry of gymnastics, and featured beautiful performances by Olympic medalists Maya Murakami and Kenzo Shirai.



In addition, there was a demonstration of "Super Radio Taiso", in which Olympic athletes incorporate high-level techniques into radio gymnastics, and how to raise the difficulty of basic techniques that children have learned to the top level.
