Czech Jiri Smejkal opened the scoring and gave Oskarshamn the lead in the ninth minute.

Shortly after, Cameron Brace added to the lead for the home team.

Färjestad worked their way to an equaliser.

But with the score 2–2 at the beginning of the second period, Oskarshamn regained the lead, 3–2 was scored by Hynek Zohorna.

Then the Värmlanders began their turnaround, first Joakim Nygård equalized and at the beginning of the third Theodor Lennström made it 4–3 to FBK, who were then in the lead for the first time in the match.

The last two goals were scored in the open box, the last by Michael Lindqvist, to 6–3.
