According to the settlement agreement, Boden Hockey is no longer bound by the agreement with the league association.

The dispute began when Boden left the hockey league organization and broke the agreement because the league did not give Boden the right to decide on the television rights to the home games.

Hockeyetta said that the agreement would continue to apply even though Boden left the league association and went to arbitration where they were right.

The National Sports Committee ruled Boden right

This despite the fact that the National Sports Council (Rin) gave Boden the right to leave the league organization.

- This conflict has cost us many millions.

We could never in our wildest imaginations believe that it would go this far, says Åström.

With the settlement, the hockey club from Boden has agreed to televise the home games on hockeyetta's platform for the rest of the season.

- It is of course great for us to now be unique in Swedish ice hockey - an association that neither has an agreement nor belongs to a league organization.

We are open to collaboration on things that are easy to collaborate with, and by the summer we can start talking about the product, the broadcasts, and see if we can come to an agreement before the next season starts, says Åström.
