The 33-year-old left Lugi in 2012. After that, she has played in Denmark, Romania and then in this summer's Spanish Rocasa Gran Canaria.

But now she is moving home.

Tonight, at half-time of Lugi's losing game against Sävehof (23-32), Lugi announced that she is returning to the club with immediate effect, only to retire at the end of the season.

- I had a great time in Spain, but maybe the handball didn't quite live up to what I had planned, and then there was an opportunity to come home to Lugi.

And it was possible to break the contract with the club in Spain, so we agreed on it, she says to Sydsvenskan.

- My life in Spain outside of handball was great, but you have to follow your heart and my heart said I should come home here and end my career.

Jacobsen, who during his 136 international matches won European Championship silver (2010) and European Championship bronze (2014), was chosen as the European Championship's best defensive player in 2014, and the Swedish player of the year in 2013.
