At the beginning of 2022, when it was time for the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic was stopped at the border.

Because he was not vaccinated, he was not allowed to enter the country, and would not be allowed to do so for the next three years.

But in November this year, his travel ban was lifted and the Serb is now back on Australian soil ahead of the upcoming edition of the Australian Open.

At a press conference, he talks about the feelings from last year.

- You carry that with you for the rest of your life.

It's something I've never experienced before and hopefully never again, but it was a valuable experience for me, he says.

"I have to move on"

At the same time, Djokovic is clear that he bears no grudge against Australia.

- I have to move on and coming back to Australia says something about how I feel about this country and about playing here, he says.

Djokovic has the chance to claim his 10th Australian Open title, which would see him equal Rafael Nadal's 22 grand slam titles.
