30 thousand participants in the 22nd edition of the Dubai Marathon

The 22nd edition of the Dubai Marathon, on February 12, will attract more than 30,000 residents and guests from around the world who will come to the emirate to take part in three races - the full marathon, the famous 10km road race and the 4km fun race. Choosing this course as one of the fastest marathons in the world, runners will pass through famous routes such as Umm Suqeim, Jumeirah Beach and Al Sufouh district, and landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah and The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi will appear in the background.


Adidas was chosen as the main partner and main sponsor of the long-awaited sporting event in the region, as it will launch during this year's marathon, three programs to give runners the opportunity to advance and achieve their best on a personal level.

The initiative also aims to promote a culture of running in the UAE with a focus on race preparation, panel discussions, nutrition and recovery, and exclusive experiences.


Led by teams of expert trainers, the 12-week Adidas Runners Training Marathon program includes three sessions per week to help boost runners' performance in sports and running.

The program emphasizes a holistic approach that includes movement, strength, mentality, nutrition, recovery and running.  


On the other hand, the first 10 km program for women targets runners in the Middle East and North Africa who want to finish their first 10 km race, and a "Speed ​​Squad" team was organized for runners in Dubai who aim to achieve the highest goal in the marathon (running in less than 3:15 for women and less than 3 for men - completing the marathon in less than 3 hours) giving a group of amateur runners a unique, distinct and elite training experience.

12 candidates (6 men and 6 women) have been selected from over 60 applications received for this unique programme.
