The 67th Arima Kinen this year was held on the 2,500-meter turf course at Nakayama Racecourse in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, and 16 horses selected by fan votes ran.



The 3-year-old Equinox, who won his first G1 race victory at the Aki Tenno Sho in his previous race, was in the middle of the group and accelerated at the final corner to join the battle for the lead.



He took the lead on the final straight and pushed out the following, winning with a time of 2 minutes 32 seconds 4, two and a half lengths ahead of the runners-up, and winning his second G1 race.



The 2nd place was the 6th favorite, Bold Gufuche, and the 3rd place was the 3rd favorite, Geraldina.



Jockey Christophe Lemaire, who won the Arima Kinen for the third time, both won the Arima Kinen on Christmas.
