The meeting was held at the stadium "Capital One Arena" in Washington (USA) and ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the hosts.

Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin scored two goals during the meeting and reached the mark of 802 goals in his NHL career.

The striker passed Gordie Howe (801) in the list of the best scorers in the hockey league and came in second place. 

Winnipeg hockey players after the end of the match in full force congratulated the Russian scorer on his achievement. 

Earlier, Mark Howe, the son of hockey player Gordie Howe, congratulated Ovechkin on reaching second place in goals in NHL history.
