This year's soccer referee on the women's side is Piteå resident Eva Svärdsudd.

She was 25 when she started refereeing football and since then she has gone from strength to strength.

Last year she made her debut in the women's league and this year the 39-year-old became a regular in Sweden's top women's league.

- I was very shocked when I got it because it exists, I didn't expect it at all.

There are so many other talented judges here in Sweden.

There is a lot of time and work behind this.

Above all, I have many loved ones who support and help me, I want to thank them too of course, she says to SVT Sport.

What do you look back on the most and what do you take with me from the previous season?

- I'm taking all the fun matches and the talented colleagues I've had with me.

For example, I got the chance to judge the derby on Tele2 in front of 9,000 people, it was a great experience, it was powerful, she says.

Now Svärdsudd is looking ahead to next season and what it has to offer.

- Since it was my first year last year, I want to become an established referee in the women's league and then I hope that I get to follow a few more assignments abroad.

On the men's side, Fredrik Klitte receives the award.

In addition to refereeing in the Allsvenskan, Klitte has been given the chance as fourth referee in the Champions League and Nations League.

SVT Sport has applied for Fredrik Klitte, without success.
