One cannot directly claim that the Junior crowns were convincing in their two training matches before the JVM.

Wednesday's sunny 5-1 loss against the USA was followed up with a lackluster performance in tonight's meeting with Switzerland.

The Swiss opened the scoring eight minutes into the first period after Swedish sloppiness on the offensive blue line resulted in a free position that Swiss team captain Attilio Biasca managed in the best way.

In the second period, Switzerland continued to stand up in a good way, but it was Sweden who scored the goals.

Milton Oscarsson made it 1-1 in the power play, fortunately played by Isak Rosén, and with 49 seconds left to play in the middle act, the same Rosén gave Sweden the lead after poking in a rebound.

But despite a 2-1 advantage after two periods, SVT's expert Jonas Andersson was dissatisfied with the Swedish players' performance.

- Pucks are dropped, you don't win the duels and the passing game is under all criticism, Andersson said in the second period break.

In the third period, Sweden moved up a bit, both Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Leo Carlsson had good opportunities to score a 3-1 goal but missed and instead they were forced to watch as Switzerland equalized on the power play with barely ten minutes left to play of regular time and made it 3-2 five minutes later.

However, Sweden responded relatively immediately through Fabian Lysell and the match went to extra time.

Once there, it looked like Isak Rosén decided the match with 1.10 left to play, but he had the goal disallowed for some reason that SVT expert Jonas Andersson could not understand.

- It's a clear goal, says Andersson.

Shortly afterwards, Switzerland captain Attilio Biasca decided the match.
