Last season there was a battle between Linn Grant and Maja Stark over who would take home the title on the European Tour.

In the tour finale, Grant secured the title and collected SEK 6.5 million.

At the time, they had a total prize pool of 272 million kroner, a sum which by next season will rise to 388 million which will be distributed over 30 competitions spread over 21 countries.

13 Swedish women among the 86 best

- There will be even greater opportunities for our stars with even more prize money, says tour CEO Alexandra Armas, according to the BBC.

Last season, Grant topped Stark, with Johanna Gustafsson in third place.

Among the European Tour's 86 best players were 13 Swedes.

Just like last season, the tour final will be played on the Spanish south coast outside Malaga in November.
