It was at the end of September that Alexander Isak left a national team meeting after injuring himself in training.

However, the subsequent injury prognosis was positive and his club Newcastle expected him to be back in action soon.

However, it turned out they were wrong.

In mid-October, Isak suffered a setback in his rehabilitation and in connection with that, Newcastle announced that he would not have time to be ready for the game before the World Cup break.

Now he is approaching a comeback - but there won't be any games in between.

- He feels good.

We are happy with him.

Will he play the next two Premier League games?

Probably not, says Eddie Howe at the press conference ahead of Monday's Premier League match against Leicester.

Isak managed to score two goals in three Premier League appearances before he was injured and Howe will be hoping to continue on that path once he is back fit.

- When you are away from the limelight you can get to know the club, your teammates and you can start to feel at home so when you are back on the pitch you are more comfortable in your surroundings.

Let's hope he comes back and makes a real difference, says Howe.
