Soccer team captain Son Heung-min was selected as the best player to shine in Korean soccer in 2022.

Son Heung-min was voted the best star in Korean football, beating his national teammates Kim Min-jae and Cho Kyu-seong in a vote by the Football Association technical committee and reporters.
He was selected as the 'Male Athlete of the Year' for the 4th consecutive year and the 7th time in history.

Son Heung-min's 2022 was truly a 'miracle year'.
He wrote a new history as the first Asian player to become the top scorer in the Premier League, and was a brilliant 'captain hand' in the national team.
In June, with a fantastic free kick goal against Chile, he celebrated his 100th A match and joining the Century Club, and at the Qatar World Cup, he led the group to advance to the round of 16 for the first time in 12 years by displaying a 'mask fighting spirit'.
Director Bento, who collaborated with Taegeuk Warriors including Son Heung-min on 'The Miracle of Doha', was the first foreigner to be selected as the best leader.
