Mimmi Larsson, 28, has long been a star in the women's league.

Now she is testing her wings outside Sweden's borders as she has signed a two-year contract with the Kansas City Current.

- I hope to be able to help the team continue to win matches and develop myself as a player.

I can't wait to get started, she says.

Larsson, who has 30 caps on his record, played his last game in Rosengård yesterday when they lost against Barcelona 6-0 at Camp Nou.

She won both the league and the Swedish Cup with Rosengård and scored 31 goals in 77 games.

Before that, she played for Linköping, Eskilstuna and Mallbacken.

In 2022, the Kansas City Current made it to the finals of the NWSL after finishing fifth in the regular season.

- Mimmi is another example of world-class players who want to make Kansas City their home.

Her experience at both club and national team level will make her a great addition to the team, says general manager Camille Levin Ashton.
