On Thursday, a dramatic round of 16 final took place between Manchester City and Liverpool in the league cup.

City eventually emerged victorious with 3–2.

The first goal was thus scored by the Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haaland, who scored 1–0 after being played forward by Kevin de Bruyne.

- A perfect target for a striker.

Haaland does it so well, when he stays out of sight of the defenders there, says former English national team player Dion Dublin in the BBC.

The competitive match was the 22-year-old's first since the World Cup break (November 12).
