The Authority organizes a workshop to educate sports medical cadres
The Sports Leadership Center of the Public Authority for Sports organized a workshop entitled (Developments in Sports Medicine and the Prevention of Sports Injuries) with the aim of enhancing the awareness of medical personnel working in the sports sector and developing their ability to prevent sports injuries.
The workshop included a lecture and an innovation lab. The lecture was presented by Philippe Chaumier, Head of the Rehabilitation and Training Department at the FIFA Medical Center of Excellence, in the presence of members of the medical and technical cadres and nutrition experts in sports federations and clubs.
The lecture focused on the importance of physical tests and their primary role in developing players based on the results shown by the test devices, and using them when developing training programs for players, as these devices evaluate the players physically and mentally to discover their readiness, and study their need to modify their training system and overcome weaknesses that appear in the exams.
Omar Abdul Rahman Al Ali, Director of the Sports Leadership Center, considered that the organization of this workshop comes in light of the work to empower the various cadres working in the sports sector, whether technically, administratively or medically.
