Fifth-placed Alvik made the short trip to Uppsala to face the sixth in the table.

Only two points separated the teams, so much indicated an even event in the quest to hang on to the top of the table.

But Uppsala went away early to 18–8 and led by as many as twelve points after the first period.

Although Alvik came really close, Uppsala held on and finally won the thriller with 84-79.

You can largely thank the homecoming before the season Sandra Hansson for that.

Hansson made her SBL debut as a 16-year-old in 2010 for Sallén Basket, and returned home to the parent club after several seasons in Umeå, where she won SM gold, among other things.

Four straight losses

In the final period, Hansson, but also the team's top scorer Savannah Plentovich, scored several important points.

Hansson landed on 22 points and Plentovich 23.

The victory means that Uppsala now moves up on the same points as Alvik and Norrköping and breaks the team's two-game losing streak.

Alvik now has four straight losses, after starting the season with six straight wins.
