Last season Sandra Näslund won eleven out of twelve World Cup competitions and an Olympic gold.

An unlikely dominance that continued this season as well.

Today's first place in Innichen was her fourth out of four possible this season and in total she is now up to 13 consecutive World Cup victories.

However, today's victory was really hard to come by.

After a small mistake at the end of the track, Näslund lost a bit of speed and at the finish line only a few centimeters separated the runner-up Fanny Smith, Switzerland.

Even 21-year-old Linnea Mobärg did very well, even though she didn't quite make it into Näslund's class.

But at least it was enough for her first World Cup final in her career after she progressed from the semi-finals by the smallest possible margin.

Once in the final, she was a little behind from the start and did not manage to get a podium position.
