“A great future awaits them”: an exhibition dedicated to the development of sports in new Russian regions opened in the State Duma

On the eve of the New Year holidays, students of the Alchevsk Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 1 received an excellent gift.

They went to Moscow for a week, where a large-scale cultural program was organized for the children, as well as a number of master classes and gatherings.

On the contrary, sports have become an outlet, and residents go to stadiums and playgrounds, despite regular shelling.

Unfortunately, many infrastructure facilities in these regions were completely destroyed, and these pictures were also published at the exhibition.

But they are adjacent to completely different photographs.

Almost all speakers talked about it.

They also often talked about a worthy future that the state should provide for young athletes.

This was stated in particular by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy.

“Today the main participants of the event are these young people who own the future of Donbass and Russia.

They have a great future in a great country.

I am very glad that representatives of all parties and executive power have gathered here.

They are united by one thought: what will be the future of our country.

And the point is not at all in the number of international competitions, but in the spirit of victory.

You can't beat a Russian man with anything.

We will continue to move in this direction with those who raise the sport of Donbass and join this family,” Tolstoy promised.

Sports life in Donbas does not stop for a day.

The guys continue their classes in the most difficult conditions, and the mentors do not quit their jobs.

Although from time to time, according to the children, they are forced to train remotely, but there is no need to talk about normal conditions yet.

As State Duma deputy Roman Teryushkov noted, ordinary sports life there actually stopped on February 18.

But in Russia they intend to do everything so that the young residents of Donbass have the opportunity to continue their studies.

First of all, we are talking about the restoration of infrastructure.

Teryushkov noticed that the Ukrainian army regularly hits precisely on it and strikes more and more new objects.

For example, recently the Lokomotiv swimming pool and the Central Olympic Stadium came under shelling.

However, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said back in October at a working meeting with Vladimir Putin that work was already underway at several facilities in Mariupol (Ilyichevets, Azovmash, the Neptune swimming pool) and in Donetsk (Druzhba Sports Palace ").

“Since Marat Shakirzyanovich (Khusnullin. - 

) is dealing with this issue - our construction is just concentrated in his jurisdiction - there is no doubt that he will do it as soon as possible.

We see the pace at which construction is being mobilized there,” the official assured.

Dmitry Svishchev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, also spoke about the need to improve the material and technical base, which, in fact, no one had been doing for 30 years - Ukraine did not allocate money for this.

However, an equally important topic is the integration of new regions in terms of legislation.

“Everything must work according to the laws of the Russian Federation.

It was indicated that sports organizations need to pass certification according to the Russian format.

They talked about certain difficulties with the assignment of titles that used to be Ukrainian, then Donetsk and Luhansk.

We must recognize their masters of sports, honored workers and coaches.

Today we discussed these issues with the Ministry of Sports.

We understood that the department is determined to integrate colleagues from the DPR and LPR as quickly as possible.

And our parliamentary control will help to follow everything and speed up the process,” the deputy explained.

In turn, the Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin, speaking with a welcoming speech, promised the young guests from Alchevsk to do everything so that they fully integrate into the domestic system of children's and youth sports and have the opportunity to compete on an equal basis with the rest.

“I am absolutely sure that today our plans and tasks are to provide students of sports schools in the Donetsk and Luhansk republics with everything necessary to make them feel like members of a single sports family in Russia.

This applies to participation in competitions and training camps.

Coaches also need to grow and be educated and take refresher courses.

This is the foundation,” the minister stressed.

As for professional sports, its integration into the system of Russian leagues will be the next step.

Matytsin noted that this would require changes in legal documents.

He also stressed that the State Duma would certainly solve this problem promptly.

And according to Teryushkov, in order to launch this process, first of all, it is necessary to end hostilities in the regions and ensure security.

“We must now legally prepare so that when victory is achieved, no one will feel any delay on our part.

And it didn’t take long for the integration of sports federations along the perimeter of the entire territory, ”summed up the deputy.

In response, the Ministers of Culture, Sports and Youth of the DPR and LPR sincerely thanked the State Duma and the Ministry of Sports for their support.

According to them, the state authorities are doing everything in their power to ensure that children have the opportunity to study normally again.

We not only stand on the frontier of protecting the Russian language and the Russian nation in our regions.
