The Swedish skiers have now taken Christmas break after the tough autumn finish in Annecy.

The next race weekend is in Pokljuka, Slovenia, January 5-8.

Elvira and Hanna Öberg have been stable at a high level.

Elvira won the chase start as late as the day before yesterday and Anna Magnusson roared with her first victory in Friday's sprint.

Linn Persson has taken a couple of podium places.

That quartet is on a level of its own.

Stina Nilsson has been 33rd best in the World Cup this season.

Johanna Skottheim has a 13th place at best, a result that stands out among otherwise weak efforts.

This means that Björn Ferry wants to see changes in the squad.

In the A national team (with Tilda Johansson from the development part) there are eight skaters, six of whom get to go in the World Cup - the rest get to go in the second division, the IBU Cup.

"If I am selected, I hope I deserve the place"

- I would probably see that they replace both Johanna Skottheim and Stina Nilsson to give Mona Brorsson and Tilda Johansson the chance, says Ferry, who believes that Nilsson is not enough in the track.

- In terms of shooting, it looks great, but she has not reached the highest level that she had last year on some occasions.

She hasn't made it in terms of riding in any competition and I don't really know why, but she's not up to it, says Ferry.

The answer from Johannes Lukas

23-year-old Tilda Johansson has been on the podium twice in the IBU Cup this season.

- If I am selected, I hope I deserve the place.

I think I'm a complete biathlete who is quick on the trail and confident on the ramp.

It's hard to know because I rode the IBU Cup and not the World Cup and didn't have enough of the Swedish riders.

I know that I maintained a high level in the IBU Cup, but I don't know if it is enough.

It is Johannes who gets to make that decision, says Tilda Johansson, who gets to go through the waiting times.

- I never discuss team selections in advance with the media, says national team coach Johannes Lukas.
