[Pick] "Gold medal proposal"... The reason Kazakhstan runners had to run first

Yesterday (18th) in the 2022-2023 International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup 4th Competition men's 500m 2nd race held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Denis Nikisha, a national athlete from Kazakhstan, crossed the finish line with a record of 41 seconds 850 after a fierce battle. I passed and got a gold medal around my neck. 

Afterwards, a medal ceremony was held inside the stadium, and the top players were awarded medals in turn, starting with the bronze medal.

South Korea's Jang Seong-wu, who crossed the finish line in second place on the day, also won a silver medal, and Dennis Nikisha, who finished in first place, also won a gold medal.

Hearing the announcer's voice announcing the award of the gold medal, he greeted the fans who came to the game and walked around the stadium.

Then, the song 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion, famous for the OST of Titanic, started to resonate in the stadium.

The SBS broadcaster, who was relaying this situation, noticed his big gesture, saying, "It seems like he's doing a gala show." 

However, there was a reason for Nikisha's behavior.

As he wandered around the stadium, he was hugged by a woman in the corner.

While they shared the joy of victory for a while, Nikisha took a small box out of her jacket pocket and knelt down.

And he proposed to this woman, handing her ring in front of all his fans and colleagues who congratulated him.

The audience couldn't hide their surprise and joy at the unexpected proposal during the awards ceremony after the game.

The SBS cast also explained the situation, saying, "I'm publicly proposing at the stadium right after winning the gold medal."  

Afterwards, a large bouquet of flowers that appeared to have been prepared by Nikkisha entered the stadium, and the woman who received it left the stadium with a happy expression as congratulations were received around her.

Then, the broadcasters praised her, saying, "There was a reason Nikisha had to win the gold medal."
