FIFA President Gianni Infantino welcomed the idea of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece hosting the 2030 World Cup as a joint file, after the impressive success of the last edition in Qatar.
This came in an interview with the FIFA President with the Qatari Al-Kass channels, in which he said: "I have visited Egypt, Greece and many other countries, and I see that they are wonderful countries."
He added, "The decision on the 2030 World Cup will be taken by the FIFA Council by 2024."
He continued, "The World Cup is back in the Middle East again? Why not, Qatar has presented a very impressive version and everyone enjoyed it, and I am sure that people will be happy to return to the Middle East again and see new places."

The British newspaper The Times reported last August that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece were preparing to submit a joint file to win the right to host the 2030 World Cup.
