Jenny Larsson missed last year's season due to a wrist injury.

Now she is back with strong results from Bruksvallarna in the season opener and last Sunday in Bad Gastein she was sixth in the season's first individual Ski Classic race.

Tomorrow awaits 36 kilometers at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters in Italian La Venosta – the third competition of the season in Ski Classics.

- I was quite surprised at how close I was to the podium last weekend, so it's clear that I'm aiming for that.

But I probably won't go for so many sprints or climbs (mountain price).

I think you have to save on what you have here, says Larsson.

- A podium finish would have been great, but it can be tough.

But I absolutely want to go for the top five.

VC debut on Sunday

Immediately after Saturday's finish, Jenny Larsson, together with long-distance colleagues Ida Dahl and Frida Erkers, heads to Davos for the 20 km freestyle in the World Cup on Sunday.

- I am grateful for the chance, I have dreamed of a World Cup debut for as long as possible.

They have made a good selection and thought outside the box and I hope to manage it.

"Hope it benefits us"

- I've said it a bit cockily before, it doesn't have to be a disadvantage to run this race (36 kilometers).

I believe and hope that it benefits us long-distance skiers with a little upper body on that course, a lot of "third gear" and the height... that we are acclimatized, says Larsson.

SVT broadcasts Saturday's race starting at 8 a.m. in SVT2/Play.
