Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets announced his retirement from international football, days after La Roja was knocked out of the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, after losing to Morocco on penalties.
The 34-year-old said in a post on Instagram, "After nearly 15 years and 143 matches, it is time to say goodbye to the national team," with which he won the first World Cup title in its history in 2010 and the 2012 European Cup.
