FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced that Morocco will host the FIFA Club World Cup between 1 and 11 February 2023, and revealed that the tournament will be held with the participation of 32 clubs, starting from the 2025 edition.

The tournament will be held in the regular system with the participation of 6 clubs and a representative of the host country, noting that the finalists so far after winning their continental championships are: Brazilian Flamengo, the Copa Libertadores champion, Real Madrid, the European champion, Wydad Casablanca, the African champion, Seattle Sounders, the American champion of CONCACAF, Auckland City, the champion of Oceania. .

It will be the third time that Morocco will host the Club World Cup after 2013 and 2014, noting that the last version of the tournament was hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Chelsea crowned it.

On the other hand, Infantino revealed that the FIFA Council approved the establishment of the 2025 edition of the Club World Cup with the participation of 32 clubs, and said, "The first edition will be in the summer of 2025, and the best clubs in the world will be invited to participate in it, while the details will be discussed later in negotiation with stakeholders. It will be It's really like a World Cup."

The 2021 edition was expected in China with the participation of 24 clubs, but the Corona pandemic forced the International Federation to return to the old system.
