Ida Dahl finished second overall in Ski Classics this spring.

Before this year's season, she switched from Team Ramudden to Team Engcon - and she got a dream start with the new team.

After Dahl and Linn Sömskar crossed the finish line, there was a long wait to see how far the team's time would last.

And it was precisely Team Ramudden that challenged for victory, but the time was "only" enough for a third place.

After the race, a finished Linn Sömskar paid tribute to his new teammate.

- We had to bring in plan C, I think.

I pulled the first piece and then Ida got up and then it was just a matter of trying to hang onto her back.

It was hard, but Ida was incredibly strong, says Sömskar to SVT Sport.

Six riders to the start

In addition to Sömskar and Dahl, Frida Hallquist drove on the women's side, and in total Team Engcon started with six riders.

On the men's side, it was Torgeir Sulen Hovland, Eddie Edström and Anton Elvseth who drove.

- We had a good chat the whole way and encouraged each other.

It went better than I thought beforehand, says Eddie Edström.

Second in the team pace was Team Aker Dählie, 10.7 seconds behind.
