Moroccan star Youssef Al-Nusairi received special praise across the platforms.

After he scored the first Arab goal in the history of the World Cup quarter-finals, he led the "Atlas Lions" to write a new chapter in the history of the competition by reaching the semi-finals.

Al-Nusairi rose above everyone in the 42nd minute, scoring Morocco's only goal in the confrontation against Portugal at Al-Thumama Stadium, and grabbed the ball from among the Portuguese defenders and goalkeeper, after a distinguished move to confront the cross sent by his colleague Yahya Atiyatallah.

With this goal, Al-Nusiri became the historic scorer for Morocco in the World Cup, where he scored 3 goals so far, 2 of them in the current version, and he also equaled the Arab scorers in the World Cup, namely: the Saudis Sami Al-Jaber and Salem Al-Dosari and the Tunisian Wehbe Al-Khazri.

Al-Nusairi was widely celebrated on the platforms, as the Confederation of African Football celebrated him, commenting, "The Atlas Lion is always on time."
