"The Three Lions" as the English national team calls itself, has had quite a few high-profile goalscorers throughout the ages.

But the best of them all is now Harry Kane.

The Tottenham player scored his first national team goal in 2015 and since then has been a given striker in England.

He became the shooting league winner during the World Cup in Russia 2018 (six goals) and has scored two goals in this World Cup.

In the last 29 games, he has scored 22 goals.

Notably, Kane has played 40 fewer caps than Rooney, who ended his international career in 2018.

He is also now one of only four players to have scored four penalty goals in a World Cup context.

The others are Eusebio, Rob Rensenbrink and Gabriel Batistuta.
