A 53-year-old woman died in a serious accident during the Veneto Rally around Verona.

She died when the pilot lost control of his Peugeot 205 during the second stage on Saturday morning.
The car went off the track and rolled over several times.
The woman died at the scene of the accident, the driver was transported to the hospital in Verona with serious injuries and is in serious condition, as Corriere writes.
The accident happened in the area of Badia Calavena, which is 32 kilometers north-east of Verona.
The Veneto Rally was first held in the late 1970s.
