After a scoreless first period where both Linköping and HV71 had pucks in the goal, where the referee ruled out the goals after video review, goals would rattle in the second.

At least for visiting HV71.

Barely two minutes into the period, Emil Andrae fired a shot from the blue that an obscured Marcus Högberg did not manage to see.

And after that, Linköping began to leak heavily.

HV entered a good period where the slopes would show the way.

Because after Andrae, it was Joey Laleggia who made it 2-0, and 3-0 came when Victor Sjöholm stepped up from the back position and fired a quiet shot from a bad angle to the right.

Linköping woke up in the third

In the third period, it would be the home team's turn to score.

Ty Rattie broke the deadlock after just over four minutes of play, and with twelve minutes left to play, Vilmos Gallo had also scored when he received a rebound puck in front of the goal.

Linköping was close to equalizing several times.

Not least when Henrik Törnqvist got a cannon position just a few meters from the goal with six minutes remaining, but Jonas Gunnarsson managed to move sideways and was responsible for a sharp save.

And in the end they had worked their way to an equalizer after a huge push.

With 17 seconds left and the goalkeeper picked, Ty Rattie struck again when a finish from the right landed at him where he was standing behind the left post, which allowed him to make it 3-3 before Gunnarsson had time to cross.

For Rattie's night was not over there.

In extra time, he completed his hat-trick when, in a two-on-one situation, he put 4-3 a few centimeters under the crossbar.
