Changing the dates of the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League
The Asian Football Confederation announced, on Friday, the new dates for the round of 16, quarter-final and semi-final matches in the 2022 AFC Champions League, which will be held in the assembly system, in addition to the two final round matches.
The dates of the round of 16 matches for the West region have been modified from the previous date, on February 3 and 4, 2023, to February 19 and 20, provided that the quarter-final matches will be held on February 23, and the semi-final match on February 26.
On the other hand, the first leg of the final round will be held on April 29, 2023, at the home of the team that qualified for the final for the West region, provided that the return match will take place on May 6, 2023 in Saitama, Japan, the home of Urawa Red Diamonds Club, who qualified for the final for the East region.
The venue for the elimination round matches for the West region will be announced at a later time, according to the assembly system.
