Sterling was not involved in England's round of 16, 3-0 against Senegal on Sunday.

The 27-year-old left the national team after gunmen broke into his home in London.

According to reports, Sterling's family was home at the time.

- At the moment, it is quite clear that the priority for him is to be with his family.

We support that and he will get as much time as he needs," England captain Gareth Southgate said after Sterling returned home.

Now, however, he is on his way back and is expected to land in Doha on Friday, one day before the quarter-final against France.
