Unsurprisingly, Portugal scored the last ticket for the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Against Switzerland, the Seleçao did not have to force their talent (6-1).

They will face Morocco on Saturday, winners of Spain earlier.

Portugal has however evolved without its master to play for more than 16 years, Cristiano Ronaldo, who against a backdrop of conflict with coach Fernando Santos after the match against South Korea, started for the first time since 2008 a meeting of the Selecao on the bench.

Gonçalo Ramos hat-trick

An absence that goes unnoticed.

Portugal takes control of the match against the Nati.

And Gonçalo Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement, opened the scoring.

He is found in the penalty area by Joao Felix.

He controls, turns around and shoots the left corner of Sommer (17th, 1-0)

If Fabian Schär fails to offer the break to Portugal with a goal against his camp (32nd), it is indeed Pépé who doubles the bet on a corner executed by Bruno Fernandes (33rd, 2-0).

Switzerland reacts late in the half.

On the right, Fernandes manages to cross, but Diego Costa intervenes.

Remo Freuler tries a header and Diogo Dalot clears his own (38th).

But while he had been around for long minutes, Gonçalo Ramos finally scored his second personal goal.

He cuts off the center of Diogo Dalot (51st, 3-0) at the near post.

He serves Raphaël Guerreiro on the next goal at the end of a counter-attack (55th, 4-0).

Switzerland does not admit defeat and gives itself a reason to believe it when on a corner, the ball fails on Manuel Akanji who only has to push it into the back of the net (58th, 4-1) .

But Portugal immediately extinguished their hopes.

Gonçalo Ramos offers himself a hat-trick for his first tenure (67th, 5-1).

Despite his Cristiano Ronaldo in the 73rd minute, CR7 did not score a goal.

The one he puts is refused for offside while Rafael Leao completes the Portuguese victory (90th + 2, 6-1)

Successful bet for Fernando Santos who won hands down this round of 16 without CR7.

It remains to be seen what he will do on Saturday, December 10 against Morocco.
