Ashraf Hakimi refused to represent Spain and preferred Morocco.. for these reasons!

Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi, the French star of Paris Saint-Germain, revealed the reason for which he refused to represent the Spanish national team at the beginning of his professional career.

Hakimi told the Spanish newspaper "Marca" that he had the opportunity to play on behalf of Spain, but he saw that it was not the right place for him, as he put it, adding that he did not feel at home.

"It wasn't because of anything in particular, but that's how I felt," he explained. "I didn't find what I was experiencing at home: it's the Arab culture, I'm Moroccan and I wanted to be here."

On how to manage the match technically: "Let's see how the coach (Walid Rekragui) will deal with the match. We know that Spain likes to keep the ball to impose control, but we will try to manage the entire match and impose our style."

The Moroccan national team will face its Spanish counterpart, tomorrow, Tuesday (19:00), in the final price of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
