The French team, reigning world champions, qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup by beating Poland 3-1 thanks to Olivier Giroud's 52nd goal with the Blues, a new record, and a doubled from Kylian Mbappé on Sunday in Doha.

France will face in quarters the winner of the match between England and Senegal, disputed in the evening.

Launched by Mbappé, Giroud opened the scoring in the 44th minute and now exceeds Thierry Henry in the ranking of French scorers.

Mbappé scored a superb double (74th, 90+1) and brought his total to five goals in the tournament.

Robert Lewandowski reduced the penalty mark in added time (90 + 9).
