The Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bö led before the start of the chase and despite three barriers he held the first place throughout the race.

Second place also went to Norway, in the form of Sturla Holm Lägreid.

Emilien Jacquelin took the third podium, ahead of Sebastian Samuelsson.

Samuelsson started first of the Swedes, 38 seconds after Johannes Thingnes Bö who went out first.

He kept his record of being faultless in lying in Kontiolahti, with ten hits.

In standing, Samuelsson shot a boom in each of the shooters and then went out as fourth, which stayed in the goal.

Jesper Nelin started with a miss in the first shootout, but followed up with ten hits which made him reach the last shootout in sixth.

Despite a crash, he kept the position until the last lap.

He finished sixth, which means that Nelin beat his personal best in the World Cup, which he set when he finished eighth on Saturday.

Martin Ponsiluoma went out one minute and 15 seconds after the lead, but the chance to catch up to the top was already gone after the first shot, when he had three misses.

The shooting continued to sway and it ended with eight blocks for Ponsiluoma.

Peppe Femling moved up from 60th place to 39th with four misses.
