It was a tough track in La Coruña where only two crews made it through flawlessly.

World number one Henrik von Eckermann has shown good form on several different horses recently and rode Iliana quickly on Sunday.

But there were four errors after a demolition by the team that otherwise had the fastest time in the field.

The time was enough for a fifth place for von Eckermann and Iliana, giving twelve points which gives him third place in the show jumping table.

It is enough to already be ready for advancement to the jumping World Cup final in April.

German victory

The Swedish sovereign was accompanied in Spain by two other Swedish crews.

Wilma Hellström on Cicci BJN also had four faults after a tear but rode fast enough for tenth place and a nice follow-up to sixth place at the World Cup in Lyon.

Petronella Andersson and Castres van de Begijnakker Z had six faults after demolition and time faults.

It was 20th place for the team.

The German Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann won ahead of the British Harry Charles after both crews had a jump-off.
