- It was a great day.

It really took me a while to let it sink in and understand that I was actually the first across the finish line.

It's like that when you've worked for something for so long, and then suddenly you're standing there - it happened so fast, says Ribom.

Before the sprint in Lillehammer, the 25-year-old aims high again, and she believes that it means a lot in the mental game that the first victory is now a fact.

- It means a lot, it's really something that I've wanted to develop in recent years - to really dare to take a seat and dare to step in and take a position, and I think I've gotten better and better at that.

“Really remember where it happened”

Last year, Ribom was fourth in Lillehammer – and she knows what she needs to do not to miss the podium again.

- Yes, I really remember where it happened to me in the final last year.

It was at the bottom of the last hill.

I really want to be there and not lose unnecessary positions.

- I like the track here in Lillehammer, it feels like we have a good idea of how we want to ride it.

But as always, it's one thing to say it and another thing to actually do it.

So it's about playing the cards right.
